It is with great excitement that we welcome you to the 2024-25 school year at CIS Bangalore. We are eager to work with our young learners and look to develop their natural curiosity in order for them to grow academically, socially and emotionally so that they can truly reach their full potential. By working with our Core Values of respect, caring, joy, integrity and inspiration, we strive to broaden their knowledge, hone their critical thinking skills and deepen their understanding of themselves, their community and the world around them.
The CIS Early Years program is comprised of the Pre-Kindergarten (PK), Junior Kindergarten (JK) and Senior Kindergarten (SK) classes with students ranging from 3 to 6 years old. The early years program will be focusing on students discovering the world around them as well as discovering who they are by working with transdisciplinary thematic units, inquiry-based learning and learning through play. The three-year Early Years Program ensures our students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and approaches to learning they need to develop in order for them to be successful in our Elementary Program starting in Grade 1.
The CIS Elementary school program is comprised of Grades 1 - 5, with learning experiences created through transdisciplinary units and supported with inquiry and project based learning approaches. The academic subjects include literacy, math, global perspectives and science, as well as visual arts, music, library, physical education, world languages and technology. The learning objectives from each of these areas are planned and organised in a way that provides meaning to the student’s learning with real world applications and in-depth exploration. In short, we strive to making their learning experiences as authentic as possible. This is further enhanced by the experiential learning program where the in class learning comes to life through showcases, expert visitors, off-campus excursions and much more. Tech integration strengthens this learning as well, allowing for students to monitor their learning and enabling teachers to provide feedback in a timely and effective manner.
Teachers are the strongest resource of any school, and we are fortunate to have world class Elementary School educators at CIS. They will work diligently with each and every student so that our students can develop into the best version of themselves. By working with proven academic strategies, we hope to nurture and instil in our students a growth mindset and a lifelong love and learning. However, having a strong curriculum and world class educators are only two pieces of the puzzle. It is my firm belief that the best schools are created when there is clear and consistent communication between home and school. We both want what is best for your child, and we encourage your feedback and your support of your child's education, and in fact, their future.
At CIS, we use Toddle as our main communication platform between home and school. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with this platform, as we will be communicating and sharing schoolwide and classroom events, announcements, communication with teachers and information about your child's learning through Toddle.

In order for learning to be even more successful, your support as parents and families is crucial. Communication between home and school is vital, as this extends the learning environment from school to home. We will be using the platform Toddle which will allow for an effective and efficient method in sharing schoolwide and classroom events and announcements, communicating with teachers, as well as information of your child’s learning at school.
