IBDP Scholarship Programme

Canadian International School Bangalore aims to attract the strongest candidates from the Bangalore area and beyond, and focuses on supporting students who might not otherwise be able to afford a CIS education. The CIS IBDP Scholarship Programme has these goals in mind as the school pushes forward into the future. We understand that bright and motivated students striving for their goals strengthen us as a community of learners.

IBDP Scholarship Programme

Eligibility Criteria

The CIS Scholarship Programme is available to all new applicants to CIS for Grade 11 (IB).
Candidates applying for the scholarship should be Indian citizens.
Candidates must have a minimum of 80% or equivalent in the previous grade to qualify for the IB programme.
The decision on minimum equivalent grades for students coming from different grading systems rests solely with the CIS Scholarship Committee.
Selection factors will also include:
- Statement of financial need
- Evidence of academic excellence
- Leadership qualities
- Significant artistic or athletic achievement
- Civic involvement/volunteerism
- Engagement in school activities
- Prospective applicant’s personal contribution to the community of learning at CIS
Students whose fees are paid for by parents’ companies or reimbursed by parents’ employers cannot be considered for the Scholarship Programme.

Once you have completed the application, please send an email to scholarships@cisb.org.in with your personal introduction and intent to apply for the CIS IBDP Scholarship. Please title the email “CIS Scholarship 2026 Statement of Intent”
Additional documentation will be requested at the time of application. The application deadline will not be extended for late submissions. Application deadline — 4:00 P.M. on Friday, January 16, 2026

Selection Process

Applications will be initially screened for eligibility.
Eligible candidates will be notified of the next steps, including interviews and testing.
Admissions tests will be conducted in English Reading and Mathematics. The candidate will also have to submit a written sample as part of the testing. The topics for the same will be given on the day of the tests.
The date for the tests will be given based on the date of completion of the application and may vary for each student.
The selected candidate will be notified via email about the percentage of scholarship awarded.
